For his entire life, Cory Aufiero found peace in bringing happiness to others. He was always an outgoing individual who presented his least serious self to the world in effort to spread happiness and lift all around him. Cory’s demeanor and attitude day in and day out, despite the circumstances, was truly something special. He had a true passion for life and believed any moment spent upset was a moment wasted. Cory’s vibrant smile, loyalty to friends, concern for others, passion for sports, selfless personality, and ability to find good in all the bad left a mark on everybody with whom he came in contact. His ability to find a way to shed a ray of humor on every situation and constantly prioritize having fun is what made Cory so special.
On September 28, 2018, Cory was struck and killed in a tragic car accident at Rutgers University. He left full communities devastated and families, including his own, heartbroken. Cory was truly a shoulder for all to cry and depend on and his death left a gap in more lives than even imaginable. The Live Like Cory Memorial Foundation serves to bridge the gaps that he left behind and become the same shoulder for individuals and entire communities to depend on, be supported by, and turn to during a time of need. Everybody needs somebody like Cory in their life and the Live Like Cory Memorial Foundation team hopes to be exactly that.
